Wry Jokes sprinkled with a healthy dose
of sarcasm for our Beloved Fans...
Here at Stone, April Fools is considered a major holiday. We've had plots formed well in advance --- usually jokes are written the night before --- to point out absurdities in our beloved industry (at least as we see it).

Having said that, here's some past April Fools jokes we've played on a mildly suspecting public...really, you should have known better. After all, we tell the truth all year long so do you really think we'd pass up our once-a-year opportunity to tell a big whopper of a fib? Not on your life!

APRIL FOOLS DAY 2009:
BrewDog / Cambridge / Stone
Juxtaposition Black Pilsner

A week prior to April 1st, James from BrewDog and Will from Cambridge came to town to join our Head Brewer Mitch Steele in brewing a collaboration beer. The three brewed a pilsner at Stone, something highly unlikely. When we were ready to tell the world about what they created, we saw April 1st coming up and couldn't resist playing with public disbelief. Those who took the time to read more than the headline realized this April Fool's Day posting was pretty darn elaborate and specific, and also sounded like one amazing Pilsner. BLOG POST HERE

Golden Imperial Stout

A joke only a beer geek would make and only a beer geek would get. The rest of you, completely lost on what the joke was. That's OK, we can live with that.
