Escondido, San Diego County, CA --- Beer enthusiasts from several states in the “heartland” of America have been fortunate enough to be able to buy Stone Brewing beers for several years now. However, the time has come for the Southern California based brewery to finally bring their big character brews to the Wolverine State. Starting in mid-October, the famous brewery with the gargoyle logo will be shipping the much sought after, and accolade winning Stone Brewing beers throughout most of the Lower Peninsula.

“We’ve had our beers in Ohio, Indiana, and Kentucky for a few years, and the people in Michigan have continuously expressed their desire to be added to that list,” said Stone CEO & Co-Founder Greg Koch. “I’m glad to say we can finally honor that request. This development will certainly save some folks a lot on gas money, as no more interstate trips will be required!”

Stone fans, followers, and devotees throughout Michigan can get their first in-state taste of Stone Brewing’s big character beers at a special event, taking place in Ann Arbor on Friday, October 13th. Details of the event are as follows:

This special night will feature a wide selection of Stone beers including: Stone Pale Ale, Stone IPA, Stone Smoked Porter, the one-and-only Arrogant Bastard Ale, the recently released Stone 10th Anniversary IPA, and a vintage keg of 2005 Double Bastard Ale. Attending the festivities will be Stone Brewing’s new Michigan brewery representative, Perry Gray, and Stone Brewing representative, Martin Saylor. They will be on hand the entire evening answering questions and introducing people to the amazing complexities of craft beer…and no doubt sharing in a pint or two themselves.

Stone Pale Ale, Stone IPA, Stone Smoked Porter, Stone Ruination IPA, Arrogant Bastard Ale, and Stone Special Releases in both bottle and draft, will be distributed throughout much of the Lower Peninsula by several well-known wholesalers beginning on October 16th:
